All-rounder George Balderson has signed a new contract with Lancashire to run to the end of the 2026 season.
The 23-year-old academy graduate made his debut in 2020 and has played 54 games for the county in red-ball and 50-over cricket.
Balderson scored more than 700 runs in County Championship Division One last summer, including two hundreds, and also took 23 wickets.
"As a squad we are looking to push on and win silverware now," he said.
"It has been brilliant to play so much first-team cricket, and to be part of such a talented squad competing at the top end of the County Championship and in the knockout stages of the white ball competitions."
Balderson, a former England Under-19 captain, averages 33 runs from his 48 innings with the bat in red-ball cricket, and has 66 wickets in total - but he has yet to play in the T20 Blast.
He said: "Individually I am always looking to take the next steps with my game, and it would be great to become an all-formats player for Lancashire in the near future."
Director of cricket performance Mark Chilton added: "At 23 years old, George already has a very experienced and calm head on his shoulders, and we are looking forward to him taking a more senior role within the dressing room whilst also continuing to set the standards for our younger players in the years ahead."
