Nottinghamshire seamer Brett Hutton has signed a two-year contract extension to remain at Trent Bridge until 2026.

The 31-year-old was the County Championship's leading wicket-taker in 2023, having claimed 62 scalps.

Hutton, who recorded six five-wicket hauls last term, was also Notts' top wicket-taker in the One-Day Cup in 2022 and 2023.

"His skills and consistency with the ball are tremendous," Notts head coach Peter Moores told the club website., external

"He has got better and better every year since coming back to Trent Bridge a few years ago."

Hutton, who came through the club's youth ranks, left for Northamptonshire in 2017 only to return to Nottinghamshire in 2021.

He said he felt his 2023 County Championship efforts were "the reward for a lot of hard work over a number of years".

"To have my best season after a decade as a professional at my boyhood club is pretty special," Hutton added.
