Nottinghamshire have signed left-arm pacemen Ben Lister and Fazalhaq Farooqi for this summer's T20 Blast.

New Zealand international Lister, 28, will be available for the first eight of the Outlaws' games in the competition.

Afghanistan's Farooqi, 23, will then replace his fellow paceman for the remaining six group games.

"In Ben and Fazalhaq, we have proven wicket-takers," said Notts head coach Peter Moores.

"Ben is an exciting talent who is establishing himself on the world stage after consistent performances domestically.

"Meanwhile, Fazalhaq is a world class player with experience on the franchise circuit and in international cricket, with a proven ability to bowl at the death. His know-how under pressure will be important in our group stage run in."

At club and franchise level, Farooqi has taken 92 wickets in 76 T20 games at an average of just over 21.

Internationally, he has claimed 37 wickets in 34 appearances in the format for Afghanistan.

Lister, meanwhile, has 10 international scalps from 10 T20 caps to go with his 92 wickets from 76 franchise appearances.
