Worcestershire were denied the possibility of a first win back in Championship Division One as rain prevented play against Nottinghamshire.
The home side were due to begin the final day on 157-7 at Trent Bridge, 193 ahead with three wickets left.
Lyndon James and Liam Patterson-White were not out, on seven and one respectively.
But the weather meant no play was possible before lunch and the umpires called the game off at about 14:30 BST.
Worcestershire drew with Warwickshire in their opening game following last summer's promotion, while Nottinghamshire suffered a 254-run defeat by Essex.
They are next away to Somerset, starting on Friday, while the Pears take on Durham at Kidderminster.
