Ben Cliff has signed a two-year extension to his contact with Yorkshire.

The 22-year-old medium pace bowler has been given the new deal after what head coach Anthony McGrath called his "accelerated" development over the past 12 months.

The England Under-19 international has made 16 appearances for the White Rose county across all formats of the game since making his debut in 2022, with a highlight being his haul of 4-31 against Nottinghamshire in last summer's T20 Blast.

McGrath told the club website, external: "His development has accelerated over the last 12 months or so and we're excited to see the level that Ben takes his game to over the next two years.

"Having added that extra yard, he offers the team an added dimension especially with his tendency to swing the ball at pace."
