Lord extends stay at Nottinghamshire with two-year deal

Nottinghamshire seam bowler Rob Lord has signed a new two-year deal.

The 23-year-old joined the Trent Bridge outfit on a deal until the end of the season, external prior to the One-Day Cup, taking 11 wickets at 22.63 during the tournament.

He subsequently played in Notts' County Championship matches against Surrey and Essex.

“I’m obviously delighted to extend my time here,” Lord told the club's website, external.

“It’s been a great, supportive group to come into over the last few months, and I have learned a lot about myself through the work I’ve done with the coaches and exposure to first-team cricket."

Notts head to Kent for their next County Championship match on Tuesday, 17 September.
