Warwickshire did not bat
Match abandoned - Warwickshire 1 pt, Glamorgan 1 pt
Warwickshire and Glamorgan remain unbeaten in the One Day Cup after rain had the final say at Edgbaston.
Both sides have 11 points from six games and are almost certain to reach the knockout stages.
Glamorgan reached 143-5 in 18 overs thanks to Sam Northeast’s brilliant 68 not out off 39 balls.
But Warwickshire did not start their revised chase of 155 to win, as rain returned.
Glamorgan chose to bat despite the dubious weather forecast when the toss took place on time, but had to wait more than four hours for the rain to abate before a 21 overs a side match was scheduled.
Olly Hannon-Dalby (2-21) and his fellow seamers made a fine start as Glamorgan slipped to 28-2 after six overs.
But Northeast and Tom Bevan (23) added 54 before Billy Root’s cameo 21 helped to increase the run-rate, though teenage spinner Tazeem Ali (2-40) produced a mature performance to dismiss both Bevan and Root as his first four overs cost just 22.
Northeast was playing an array of powerful shots all round the ground and took 18 off Ali’s final over before another rain-break, which allowed Glamorgan back out for just one more over.
The DLS calculation saw the Bears facing a demanding chase in the gloom, but the weather closed in again.
