Clifford to replace Kent chairman Philip as interim

Former Kent chief executive Jamie Clifford will replace the retiring Simon Philip as chairman of the club on an interim basis.

Philip has worked as chair and treasurer at different points through the last 15 years.

The club announced his retirement was "imminent", external on Sunday, 23 June.

Clifford , externalserved as chief executive of Kent from 2010 to 2018, having served as cricket development director from 2002.

He was named vice-president in 2018 and was appointed a board director in 2022.
