Somerset all-rounder Josh Thomas has signed a new deal with the club until the end of 2026.
The 20-year-old made his debut in 2022 in the One-Day Cup and was part of the squad that reached the final of last season's competition.
In total he has played in 15 List A matches for Somerset, having come through their academy and also represented England at Under-19 level.
This season he has also had a spell on loan at Leicestershire for the group stage of the T20 Blast, featuring in three matches.
"We have been impressed with Josh's progress since he signed his first contract, and we are pleased that we will continue to oversee his journey," said head director of cricket Andy Hurry.
"He has the potential to influence games with both bat and ball, and we have seen this evidenced on a number of occasions for the second XI again this season."
