Tattersall to leave Yorkshire at end of season

Yorkshire wicketkeeper-batter Jonny Tattersall will leave the club at the end of the season.

The 30-year-old has represented the White Rose in all formats since making his debut in 2013.

He also had a spell as captain in 2022 and went on play a pivotal role in helping Yorkshire win promotion in 2024.

"It's been a huge honour to represent Yorkshire," he told the club website., external

"Wearing the White Rose has meant so much to me. Coming back to the club after a year away and being able to captain the side was something I could only have dreamed of.

"I'd like to thank my team-mates for the part they have played in my life especially the past 18 months. I'll be forever grateful to each and every one of them. The memories of last season as a team are ones I will never forget."

Tattersall will still be eligible for selection for the remainder of the 2025 County Championship season, the club said.

"Jonny has given everything to the club and shown tremendous professionalism throughout his time here," added general manager of cricket Gavin Hamilton.

"He's a respected figure in the dressing room, and a great ambassador for Yorkshire cricket. His dedication on and off the field has been exceptional."
