Neil Wagner featured in three One-Day Cup games for Durham in 2024

Durham have re-signed New Zealand fast bowler Neil Wagner on a red-ball deal for the second half of the county cricket season.

The 39-year-old played one Championship game and three One -Day Cup matches for Durham last season before his time was cut short by injury.

Wagner, who retired from international cricket in February 2024 and has taken 841 first-class wickets, had previous spells in England with Northamptonshire, Essex, Somerset and Lancashire.

His first game for Durham will be on 22 June against Sussex and he will be available until the end of the campaign in September.

Left-armer Wagner will retire from domestic Cricket in New Zealand when his game for Northern Districts against Otago concludes on Tuesday, when victory would hand them the Plunkett Shield title.
