Geddes made 41 appearances for Surrey and scored two centuries in his 12 first-class innings.
“I have mixed emotions but am excited for the new challenge and everything that might bring," he said.
"A special thank you to Alec Stewart and Gareth Batty for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to live out a childhood dream."
McKerr won four county titles with the club having also been part of their 2018 success.
During his time at The Oval he had seven loan spells elsewhere, including three at Derbyshire and two at Kent.
“Most importantly, I want to thank Stewie (Alec Stewart)," he said.
