Birmingham Bears have signed New Zealand seamer Zak Foulkes for the remainder of their T20 Blast campaign.
Foulkes captured 16 wickets for Canterbury Kings in last winter’s Super Smash competition before making his international debut in the Black Caps’ T20 series against Pakistan
More recently, the 22-year-old had been playing club cricket for Lytham CC, who agreed to let him make the move to Edgbaston.
Foulkes could feature for the Bears, who lead the North Group, when their Blast campaign resumes on Friday against Yorkshire Vikings.
“The Bears have got off to a great start and I can see why they’re top of the group after winning four straight matches,” said Foulkes.
“I’m looking forward to pressing my case for a starting berth and helping the side reach their goal of playing at Finals Day.”
