Derbyshire seam bowlers Ben Aitchison and Nick Potts have signed new contract extensions with the club.

Aitchison, 26, made his debut for the club in 2020 and has signed a new two-year deal at The County Ground.

He claimed the second five-wicket haul of his career in Derbyshire's crushing eight-wicket victory against Yorkshire at Headingley in the Vitality T20 Blast last month.

Meanwhile Potts, 23, has signed a new one-year contract after producing his best figures in 50-over cricket of 3-72 in the 59-run defeat by Gloucestershire in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup earlier this month.

"We're pleased to have Ben and Nick in our ranks. They've each shown their ability to adapt and improve, that's really pleasing for us, as it shows real development," Derbyshire's head of cricket Mickey Arthur told the club website., external
