Sussex spinner Bertie Foreman has joined Worcestershire on a two-week loan to provide cover for the Pears.

The 21-year-old moves during a busy run of fixtures in County Championship Division One and is available for this week's match away to Warwickshire, which starts on Tuesday.

Foreman has made one first-class appearance for Sussex and has taken four wickets in seven List A matches for the south coast club.

He has also featured for England Under-19s in two series, against Australia and Sri Lanka, and last month took 9-105 in an innings against Lancashire in a Second XI Championship fixture.

"With a couple of players in the squad unavailable due to injuries and fixture congestion, his arrival will give us some depth," Worcestershire head coach Alan Richardson told the club website, external.

"This is a great opportunity for Bertie to get valuable game time in a competitive environment and provides us with some options in both departments."
