Jack Haynes' 97 helped to keep Nottinghamshire's hopes of reaching the knockout stage of the One-Day Cup on course with a four-wicket win over Hampshire.

His 89-ball knock, including 12 fours, and captain Haseeb Hameed's 86 from 80 deliveries were key as the visitors chased down 291 at Southampton with eight balls to spare.

It meant Nick Gubbins' unbeaten 144 earlier in the day was in a losing cause as the Hampshire skipper struck 14 fours and four sixes as his side posted 290-7 having won the toss.

Elsewhere, Durham chased down 321 to win at Lancashire, Essex steamrollered Glamorgan, and Derbyshire and Leicestershire finished tied at Grace Road.

Nottinghamshire's victory kept them third in Group A but only now on net-run rate from Worcestershire, with both trailing second-placed Hampshire by two points with two games remaining.

Gubbins looked to be giving Hampshire one foot in the knockout stage as he compiled his 10th List A hundred and matched his career-best 144, also not out, made against Glamorgan in the opening match of the tournament.

But the chase was always well placed and when Haynes fell in the 32nd over, Hameed took up the running, hitting eight fours and three sixes.

He departed with 37 needed from 38 balls and Lyndon James was on hand to guide the visitors home with an unbeaten run-a-ball 28.

At Leicester, both sides needed victory to stay in the hunt for the knockout stage.

The home side, sent in, scored 312-5, with Rishi Patel - 94 off 119 balls - and Lewis Hill - 93 from 95 - sharing 166 for the second wicket.

In reply, Harry Came gave Derbyshire a solid start with 67 at the top of the order, and the visitors, six down, needed 16 from 14 balls.

But three wickets fell for two runs and with a single needed off the final ball, Zak Chappell tripped over his bat attempting a leg bye and was run out.

Leicestershire are now four points behind third place in Group A with two games remaining, while Derbyshire are two points further back with three matches to play.

Essex are two points better off than the Foxes after a mighty 190-run win over Glamorgan.

Batting first at Chelmsford, captain Tom Westley made 141 from 113 balls and Charlie Atkinson 131, also from 113 deliveries, as the hosts racked up 371-6 - their fifth-highest List A total.

Westley and Atkinson added 231 for the third wicket - the highest stand compiled in List A fixtures between the sides.

Glamorgan then plunged to 112-7 before limping to 181 all out, with Simon Harmer taking 5-47, as the winless Welsh county slumped to their third-largest List A defeat.

And in Group B, Durham remain in contention to qualify after a four-wicket win at Liverpool.

After being asked to bat, Josh Bohannon struck 106 and George Bell 104, but Lancashire fell away slightly to be bowled out for 320 in the final over - Ben Raine taking 4-34.

Alex Lees' 64 gave the chase a strong start before Will Rhodes made 75 and an unbeaten 80 in 59 balls from captain Ollie Robinson brought the visitors home.

Durham, sixth in the group table, join three teams on 12 points up to Somerset in third, while Lancashire are effectively out of contention, with six points and two games to play.
