One Day Cup holders Glamorgan and Derbyshire were frustrated by the rain as their match at Neath was washed out.
Persistent spells of rain swept the club ground during the morning with the covers remaining on.
With no sign of any drying weather, umpires James Treadwell and Suri Shanmugam made the call to abandon the game at 13:55 BST.
Both Glamorgan and Derbyshire had lost their opening fixtures in the eight-match group schedule.
Derbyshire host Nottinghamshire on Sunday 10 August while Glamorgan travel to play Surrey at the Oval on Wednesday 13 August.
The game was meant to be one of only two days of cricket for Glamorgan men's first team outside Cardiff in 2025.
"After Tuesday's defeat it would have been nice to get back out there and bounce back with a win before we head into next week but it's pretty wet out there," said Glamorgan's head coach for the competition David Harrison.
"We'll have a good training session on Monday and be ready for the challenges of Surrey, Gloucestershire and Notts."
Surrey have a long list of absentees due to the Hundred but still fielded England Test players Rory Burns and Ben Foakes in their opening defeat against Leicestershire.
"There's still some very good players in their squad and hopefully we'll have a repeat of last year (a rapid seven-wicket win), as long as I don't break my ankle like I did last year," Harrison told BBC Sport Wales.
Championship captain Sam Northeast is due to play some part in the group stages but key bowler Timm van der Gugten is not likely to return in the immediate future after a foot injury in the Championship win over Kent.
"We can't lose sight of three important (Championship) games in September, Timm's a hugely important part of the red-ball team and we can't bring him back earlier than we should," Harrison added.
