Franks steps up as Notts head coach for One-Day Cup

Paul Franks spent his entire county playing career with Nottinghamshire

Paul Franks will step up to take over as head coach of Nottinghamshire's One-Day Cup side this summer.

The 46-year-old, who earned a solitary England cap during his playing career, will remain in his role of assistant coach to Peter Moores in both the County Championship and T20 Blast competitions.

The long-serving former Notts player, who retired from the first-class game in 2015, has been part of Moores' coaching team at Trent Bridge since November 2016, having previously worked with the second XI and academy.

"It's an exciting prospect to have this different level of responsibility and a chance to look at things slightly differently," Franks told the club website.
