All-rounder Benny Howell has joined T20 Blast side Notts Outlaws on a two-year contract.
The 37-year-old's move to Trent Bridge will mean he only plays the shortest format of the game for the East Midlands club, with his deal not including One-Day Cup or Championship commitments.
Howell most recently played for Hampshire, having joined the club after 10 years with Gloucestershire, and is considered to be among the leading white-ball all-rounders in the country.
He has taken 255 T20 wickets at a rate of 23.12 and amassed more than 3,200 runs at a strike rate of just over 135 across 266 career games worldwide.
Nottinghamshire head coach Peter Moores described Howell as "the perfect fit" for a rebuilding T20 side that has failed to get beyond the group stage of the competition in the past two seasons.
"We're really excited to welcome him to Trent Bridge, and we can't wait to see the impact he has both on and off the field," Moores told the club website., external
