Fast bowler Zak Chappell has signed a new two-year contract extension with Derbyshire.
The 29-year-old moved across the East Midlands from Nottinghamshire to Derbyshire before the 2023 season and last February renewed his deal through until the end of next summer.
But his fresh contract will now keep him at the County Ground until at least the end of the 2028 campaign.
Chappell has taken 170 wickets in all formats for Derbyshire including 89 in 36 County Championship matches.
The former England Lions seamer picked up 34 last summer as Derbyshire finished only five points shy of winning promotion to Division One.

"We're shaping our squad for 2026 and retaining our best players has been a key part of that process.
We're working hard to add to the squad and provide the finishing touches, but we can be confident in the experienced core we have."
Chappell is the latest player to agree a new deal after all-rounder Martin Andersson and white-ball batter Ross Whiteley signed new contracts last month.
Seam bowlers Ben Aitchison and Nick Potts extended their stays with the county in August.
