Somerset seamer Alfie Ogborne has signed a new contract with the club until the end of the 2026 season.
The 21-year-old made his County Championship debut for the club last summer against Hampshire, but has only featured for the second team so far this campaign.
Ogborne, who came through the club's academy, also played in five One-Day Cup matches in 2022.
“Everyone has been impressed with the way in which Alfie has transitioned into the professional environment,” Somerset director of cricket Andy Hurry said.
“Ahead of him now is a great opportunity to continue his development and progression towards more first XI opportunities across the formats."
