Hampshire sign Australia all-rounder Wellington

Hampshire have signed Australia all-rounder Amanda-Jade Wellington for the entirety of the 2026 season.

The 28-year-old leg spinner returns to the Utilita Bowl after turning out for Southern Brave in The Hundred in 2021 and 2022.

Wellington spent last season at Somerset and was the team's leading wicket-taker in the One-Day Cup with 19 wickets, and also scored 282 runs in the competition.

She has 23 caps for Australia since making her debut against South Africa in 2016, and has gone on to take 30 wickets in total across all three formats.

Wellington has taken the second-highest number of wickets (52) in the Women's Hundred since its inception in 2021, turning out for Oval Invincibles last season, and is currently appearing for Adelaide Strikers in the Women's Big Bash in her home country.
