Warwickshire have filled the gap left by Tom Latham's injury by signing fellow New Zealander Will Young for the last three County Championship matches of the season.
Latham, who signed for the whole 2025 season and captains New Zealand's Test side, is out with a shoulder injury.
He also missed the first three Championship games of his scheduled time with the club having sustained a broken hand.
Young has plenty of experience in English conditions, having already featured for Durham, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire.
The 32-year-old has scored 8,404 first-class runs at an average of 40.21 and made 16 centuries.
"While it's disappointing to lose Tom for the rest of the season, we know the qualities Will brings - his international pedigree, consistency in English conditions, and experience in the top order," Warwickshire performance director James Thomas said.
"We're confident he'll make a real impact as we look to finish the campaign strongly and challenge the leading teams."
Warwickshire are fourth in the Division One table, 27 points behind leaders Surrey.
