India batter Ruturaj Gaikwad will not be joining Yorkshire for the final part of the County Championship season.
The 28-year-old had agreed a deal to the end of the season, starting with the Championship game against reigning champions Surrey at Scarborough from 22 July.
But in a short statement, Yorkshire confirmed that he would not be playing for the team for "personal reasons".
Gaikwad, who captains Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League and Maharashtra in the Ranji Trophy, has played six one-day internationals and 23 T20s for his country.
However, he only managed five games in this year's IPL as he suffered an elbow injury.
Gaikwad was named in the India A squad for their two matches with England Lions earlier this summer but did not feature in either.
