England Under-19 internationals Theo Wylie and Taz Ali have been signed two-year professional contract with Warwickshire.

All-rounder Wylie and leg-spinner Ali have been named in the Bears squad for the opening game of the One-day Cup competition, which begins on Wednesday against Essex in Chelmsford.

Wylie took 4-42 against Australia at the U19 World Cup earlier this year and made one appearance in the recent youth one-day series against Sri Lanka.

Ali was England's leading wicket-taker at the World Cup with 14 victims in four games.

"Both show the attributes to feature in domestic cricket in the near future," said Warwickshire performance director Gavin Larsen.

“Entering the Bears environment will accelerate their development, and they’ll benefit from the full range of professional support to assist their growth.
