Fast bowler Kyle Abbott has signed a new one-year contract to remain at Hampshire during the 2025 season.
Abbott joined the county in 2017 having also played for the club as an overseas player in 2014.
The 37-year-old took 55 wickets in the County Championship last season - a tally beaten only by Essex's Jamie Porter - the fifth time he has surpassed 50 during a campaign for the club.
"What Kyle has achieved in his time with us is incredible. Over 100 championship appearances and numbers that place him in the very best company as an overseas player," said Giles White, director of men's cricket at Hampshire.
"We are very lucky to have him, he has had a huge influence on the club and I know he is excited by the prospect of leading the integration of our young quicks this summer."
The South African has been capped 60 times for his country, with his last international match in 2017, and claimed a club-record 17-86 against Somerset in 2019.
Abbott said the club, who finished second in Division One last season, was like a "second home" to him.
"We have an amazing group of players and a really exciting bowling attack so hopefully we can go one step further than last year and get our hands on the Championship trophy," he said.
