A great catch from Dani Gibson in the field. If London Spirit were going to have any hope of chasing this total, this was the start they wanted.

Davina Perrin can't believe what she has done! She has slapped a floaty one from Bex Tyson straight to extra cover and has to slump off.

It's a good catch from Gibson too above her head.

Good cricket from the Superchargers. It's risk-free cricket picking up singles when you are not able to get the boundary and rotating the strike.

Rapid running between these two at the moment which shows great intent.

  4. Superchargers 17-1published at 85 balls left

Davina Perrin and Phoebe Litchfield must be one of the quicker batting partnerships between the wickets. Rapid.

The intent is being shown here by Phoebe Litchfield; she is not hanging around.

That is the shot of the day for me. A perfect high elbow and perfect timing.

That wasn't too bad a ball from Issy Wong but it was a lovely shot by Phoebe Litchfield for four.

    Virat Kohli-esque, you might say.

Need 78 runs from 90 balls

And Phoebe Litchfield is already on with making the most of the life.

Three boundaries in a row to the left-hander. One was fortuitous but the other two perfect.

  8. dropped catch

Almost another! That really would have been something.

Phoebe Litchfield, the Australia superstar, drills one back to spinner Tyson who cannot take a tough chance.

A big wicket. Bex Tyson did not give Alice Davidson-Richards any room and it just goes past leg-stump but Davidson gets a nick on it.

What a start for the Spirit.

    Well!

Alice Davidson-Richards is out for a golden duck, putting talk that this result is already decided to one side for now at least.

The Superchargers opener goes back to cut a tight line from Bex Tyson and gets a thin edge.

Davina Perrin is an exciting young talent. Northern Superchargers will be wanting to make an impact on this score in the powerplay for sure.

    Target 91

If Superchargers win they will join Manchester Originals and Spirit on 16 points with Southern Brave clear on 24. Net run-rate could yet be crucial in deciding who reaches the eliminator in the women's comp.

Superchargers have an ideal chance for a big boost given they are chasing such a low total.

  14. 'We should knock this off quickly'published at 16:23 British Summer Time 20 August

Northern Superchargers bowler Kate Cross speaking on Sky Sports about moving the ball in the first innings: "I have changed something in my run up so I have come into this tournament feeling a lot more confident. Getting it [the ball] to nip up the slope at Lord's means you are doing something good.

"It is always difficult to beat a team away. It looked a good pitch so hopefully we can knock this off quite quickly.

"Having kept them to 90, there is no need for us to challenge ourselves. If we play some good cricket, we will be effective."

    Thanks Mike.

I've fancied the Superchargers to do well throughout this competition. I'm feeling pretty smug.

Well, Northern Superchargers will chase 91 and they'll be very confident of doing it successfully.

To take you through their innings, here's Matthew Henry.

Hilton Cartwright finishes the innings with a scampered couple round the corner to bring up a marvellous half-century off just 19 balls.

He's rescued Southern Brave here, boosting the visitors to 129-8 off their 100 balls.

It could be sub-par but this looks a tricky pitch to score on and Brave have a strong bowling line-up.

Grace Harris has been a key player for London Spirit, but she's also human as well so she's not going to be able to pull it out of the bag every single time. Other players have got to step up in that top order. They never really got hold of the game.

Superchargers were faultless in the field and very tight with their lines.

  19. Brave lose eighth wicketpublished at Fire v Brave

Hilton Cartwright continues to be seemingly batting on a completely different strip to his team-mates.

Craig Overton is the latest Brave batter to miscue a big shot into the hands of a waiting fielder - this time picking out Paul Walter off Chris Green.
