India will be back in action against defending champions Australia in the semi-final on Thursday.

But before that, we will have England taking on South Africa in the first semi-final clash on Wednesday.

Defending champions Australia were the first team to qualify for the semi-finals of the Women's World Cup and remained the only unbeaten side in the group stage.

Co-hosts India secured the final berth with a 53-run victory (DLS) over New Zealand on Thursday.

  3. 'We need to enjoy playing against Australia'published at 17:37 GMT

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur: "Today, the way we bowled today looked balanced and there was a lot of clarity there. That's something we will take from this game.

"Our medical team will update on [Pratika Rawal]. They are taking care of her and looking after her injury. Hopefully, they will get back soon. Hopefully she will be fine for the next match.

"It's a very important game for us [against Australia]. I think we have played very good cricket in this group stage. Everyone has contributed whenever the team needed them. We need to keep enjoying ourselves when playing and we are going to do that in the semis as well."

  4. 'There are areas where we can improve'published at 17:30 GMT

Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana Joty: "How we started the tournament gave us good momentum. We played some close games against England, Sri Lanka and South Africa. There are areas where we could have improved.

"We have been working so hard as a group and we know each other for a long time. That helps us on the ground. The youngsters will take a lot of positives from here.

"We just wanted to look at the whole tournament. We should discuss about the areas we could do well here."

There we have the official word!

This game has been called off with no more play possible at DY Patil Stadium.

India share the spoils with Bangladesh before their semi-final clash against Australia on Thursday.

  9. Postpublished at 16:50 GMT

Not much to bring you but rain continues to fall steadily in Navi Mumbai.

The supporters - at least the ones who have stayed on - have taken cover under the roofs while covers remain on.

India should play at least 20 overs for us to get a result here.

  10. rain stops play

Rain stops playpublished at 8.4 overs

    Ind 57-0

Well, the players go back in to the dugout with India still 69 runs away from a victory.

Smriti Mandhana had taken charge with 34 off 27 balls with Amanjot Kaur providing good support on an unbeaten 15 off 25.

But the covers are coming on now as rain starts to intensify again at DY Patil Stadium and it's some more waiting game for all of us.

  11. Ind 38-0published at 5 overs

    Mandhana 23, Amanjot 7

It's a strong start from India in their chase at DY Patil Stadium.

And is it any surprise that Smriti Mandhana is continuing their purple patch in this World Cup!

She's already hit five boundaries to move to 23 while Amanjot Kaur is unbeaten on seven.

  12. Postpublished at 15:56 GMT

The players are back out on the field and we will get going again in a short while.

And it's Amanjot Kaur who will open the batting for India alongside Smriti Mandhana.

  13. India need 126 runs to winpublished at 15:53 GMT

It's been confirmed that 126 is the revised DLS target for India.

It will be interesting to see who will be Smriti Mandhana's opening partner after that injury scare to Pratika Rawal.

  14. Indian bowlers restrict Bangladesh after rain delaypublished at 27 overs

    Ban 119-9

Another over, another wicket for India.

They have picked up a wicket in every over since Sobhana Mostary's dismissal in the 22nd over.

Bangladesh looked to improve their run rate in the limited overs they were handed but no one apart from Sharmin Akter Supta, who collected 36 from 53 balls, got going.

We'll wait to see what India's DLS-adjusted target will be, but the co-hosts should chase this down without much troubles.

  15. Ban 108-8published at 26 overs

    Ritu 4, Nishi 2

Bangladesh batters are dropping like flies here.

After dismissing Rabeya Khan, Radha Yadav, who was one of the three changes in the India line-up today, almost has a fourth wicket but Nishita Akter Nishi reviews the decision and survives.

Final over the Bangladesh innings coming up.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 24.1 overs

    Sharmin c sub (Reddy0 b Charani 36 (Ban 101-7)

Talk of commitment from Arundhati Reddy!

She is only on the field after Pratika Rawal's injury but she runs in from deep midwicket and makes a full-length dive to take the catch that ends Sharmin Akhter Supta's innings.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 23.5 overs

    Nahida b Yadav 3 (Ban 99-6)

    Another Bangladesh wicket falls!

Radha Yadav gets her second wicket of the day as new batter Nahida Akter goes for a slog sweep but misses.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 22.3 overs

    Shorna b Amanjot Kaur 2 (Ban 94-5)

    Bowled her!

Shorna Akter's stay in the middle is a very brief one as Amanjot Kaur returns to attack and knocks back the middle stump with an in-swinging delivery.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 21.5 overs

    Mostary c Deol b Yadav 26 (Ban 91-4)

The dangerous Sobhana Mostary is accounted for by Radha Yadav.

The Bangladesh batter, who had struck four boundaries to tick the scoreboard on, walks down the creases and hits straight to Harleen Deol at mid-off to lose her wicket.

  20. ouch!

    Ban 87-3published at 21 overs

    Sharmin 32, Mostary 23

It's bad news for India as Pratika Rawal slips on the outfield trying to stop a boundary and looks to have twisted her ankle.

There are looks of concern from her team-mates as the India opener is limping off the field with the help of medical staff.

Rawal is the second-highest scorer in the Women's World Cup with 309 runs, only behind her opening partner Smriti Mandhana (331).

This will give India serious headache before their semi-final clash against Australia.
