  1. Eng 121-3published at 13 overs

Fours for both Tom Banton and Jordan Cox.

Banton edges Ben White's first ball through third, then Cox smashes his third over the ropes at mid-wicket.

My colleague Matthew Henry informs me that Cox has scored more runs today than in his five previous five international innings combined.

  2. Eng 111-3published at 12 overs

A decent final over for Matthew Humphreys, just two singles from it.

He sees Tom Banton strike aerially just past a scrambling cover fielder, then draws an edge from Jordan Cox with his final delivery, with the ball dropping safe.

The spinner finishes with figures of 0-25.

No, the ball has flicked the pad.

Ireland lose a review, but do see a wide knocked off England's total.

  4. Umpire reviewpublished at 11.1 overs

Has Jordan Cox been caught down the leg side?

Matthew Humphreys takes an age and then decides at the last minute to review, having got nothing from the umpire.

  5. Eng 109-3published at 11 overs

Up comes England's hundred as Tom Banton cuts Ben White to the boundary.

Banton adds four more from the final ball of the over, easing the delivery fine.

Barry McCarthy gives chase, can't retrieve the ball and his momentum sees him needing to leap over the advertising hoardings.

    Target 155

Tom Banton comes to his crease and immediately hammers his first ball through long-off for four.

Jordan Cox closes Curtis Campher's over by firing a shot that Ross Adair can't block at point - that's four more.

We reach the half way stage and England are almost two thirds of the way to their target.

That was interesting by Paul Stirling, there was definitely some theatrics there, moving people around, taking his time talking. Curtis Campher, he's a man that gets things done.

That's how it's done, Phil Salt is gone!

    Nicked behind!

Phil Salt throws his hands at a Curtis Campher delivery that shapes away a little and offers an edge for Lorcan Tucker to snaffle.

29 runs off 23 balls for the England opener today, not his most dramatic innings.

Ireland are going to have to try something different because it's not working at the moment.

    Target 155

Curtis Campher pulled off a stunning catch to remove Jos Buttler, but that's a horrible bit of fielding.

He lets Phil Salt's drive off Matthew Humphreys break through his fingers and pass over the long-off ropes for four.

We've been talking about Phil Salt over the past few days so it's good to see Jordan Cox out there clearing the boundary. He's been pretty awesome so far. Disappointing from an Ireland point of view looking at Ben White.

  14. Eng 79-2published at 8 overs

I'm not sure we'll see Ben White again.

He delivers another drag down, which Phil Salt fires over the backward square boundary for four.

It's an over-step too, with the extra run one of 19 from the over.

Very strong hitting from Jordan Cox. He didn't miss out on this one and just helped it over the boundary.

    Eng 70-2published at 7.3 overs

Lanky spinner Ben White comes into the attack and his first ball is absurdly short.

Jordan Cox flails at it but doesn't make contact, with the ball passing keeper Lorcan Tucker and heading off for four byes.

Cox has no issue connecting with another short delivery two balls later, he dispatches that over mid-wicket for his third six.

  17. Eng 60-2published at 7 overs

Jordan Cox takes a single to deep mid-wicket before Phil Salt faces a dot ball.

Salt has been relatively quiet today, by his standards at least.

    He's on 17 from 15 balls, Cox has 25 from 14.

Beautiful piece of bowling from Matthew Humphries. Regardless of that outcome, it's positive signs for the Irish bowlers.

No, there's a touch of bat on that - Jordan Cox survives.

He was trying to nudge Humphreys into the leg side.
