  1. Ban 13-0published at 2 overs

Not much more to report from Hayley Matthews' over after that boundary. It's a strong recovery from the West Indies captain who finds an edge with her last ball, but Dilara Akter's shot keeps low and she scampers a two.

That is a great sign of intent there from Bangladesh. They're making their statement here already. We talk about the importance of the powerplay, that might be a sign of how important Bangladesh see it.

  3. Ban 10-0published at 1.1 over

Hayley Matthews brings herself on but starts with a short delivery.

Shathi Rani's eyes light up and she chips one over mid-on for four.

A bit of a jittery start from Bangladesh, they're going to have to make sure that their communication is good today. When the West Indies are on it they're a great team.

  5. Ban 6-0published at 1 over

Oooof, very nearly for West Indies.

Chinelle Henry beats the bat and then, next ball, has one that stays low and completely outfoxes Dilara Akter.

The opener tries to swing one through the on-side but instead top-edges it over the keeper for four.

The biggest challenge of the tournament is how the players manage with the heat.

Bangladesh v West Indies (15:00 BST)

Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana Joty: "I think we wanted to bat first so we are pretty happy with that.

"We put up a good decent score against Scotland so it's good to use our batters and give them a freebie to use their full potential.

"It's a good opportunity for the team. We had a very good break.

"We've been struggling with the batting, we all know that. But this is a very good surface."

Bangladesh v West Indies (15:00 BST)

West Indies captain Hayley Matthews: "We're going to bowl first, we we're pretty good against Scotland and went in on the field. We're looking to do the same today.

"We’ve seen this wicket's keeping low. It's a fresh wicket today, we'll have to look at conditions and adapt to the conditions.

"In a game of cricket you're not going to score as many as you want, today I'll go out there and try my best.

"One change, Mandy Mangru will be making her debut, she's in for Chedean Nation."

  14. How the teams have fared so farpublished at 14:51 British Summer Time 10 October

Bangladesh opened this tournament with their first T20 World Cup win since 2014 by beating debutants Scotland by 16 runs in Sharjah.

Just like in their first match, low scores were also a feature of their second outing as they lost by 21 runs to England.

Five of the seven England wickets fell to spin, but Heather Knight's team successfully defended their total, despite Sobhana Mostary's 44.

West Indies' one triumph in this tournament also came against Scotland, chasing down their target of 100 in just 11.4 overs.

Deandra Dottin - who came out of retirement to play in the tournament - finished with an explosive 28 not out from 15 balls.

It followed a disappointing 10-wicket defeat to South Africa in their tournament opener, with Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits both passing 50.

The T20 World Cup keeps rolling on with Bangladesh and the West Indies next up in game number 13.

It's not quite must-win but a defeat today would seriously dent any semi-final hopes.

Both teams have one win, both have one defeat, and both are two points off leaders England and South Africa in Group B.
