Manchester Originals bowler Sonny Baker speaking on Sky Sports: "Massively important to get the win today after a tough start to the competition. We are really happy."

On bowling to David Warner: "Awesome. He is a really tough competitor and is one of the best in the world. He picks up really well and you have a small margin for error but I loved the challenge. I was worried about going too wide to but it was a good battle."

On the team: "In the first game opening with Jimmy [Anderson] was surreal. I loved every part of it. This is a really good group and I loved playing more this year."

On keeping his pace up: "I always want to bowl fast so it will be a personal challenge to keep going but I hope I can keep up."

Manchester Originals' men end their run of six home defeats with today's victory - they failed to win at home in 2024.

Old Trafford last saw them take the points against Northern Superchargers on 20 August 2023.

10,351 were in the ground to see it.

  3. 'We massively needed that win'published at 21:34 British Summer Time 11 August

Manchester Originals captain Phil Salt speaking on Sky Sports: "We massively needed that win. We have played the two strongest sides first so this was the day that had more pressure on us to get a victory.

"We got the game against Southern Brave to a similar scenario. Sometimes those games are good early on to keep you honest."

On Ben McKinney: "What a surprise package. Even I didn't know he was going to do that!"

Sonny Baker: "He was outstanding. Jimmy had a rest today but that is the closest to what he did, if not better. Really pleased with how Sonny has gone for us and it will be hard to pick seamers for the next match.

"I had around the wicket and cramping the batters in my plan but he wanted to come over the wicket and be really tight and let the pitch do the work. To come in to do that at 20 years old is incredible."

On Scott Currie: "He is really smart and a man that likes the pressure. He always wants to bowl about getting the last set."

Rather you than me Sean Dickson, that was so quick. Just after the slower ball as well so the perfect set up by Josh Tongue.

Tongue has certainly been one of the picks of the bowlers.

You could tell by Warner's reaction that he looked guilty. He saw the finger and walked straight off.

The boos you can hear are certainly not for the decision.
