Six Paralympic champions have been named among the Great Britain team for next month's Para-Cycling Track World Championships in Los Angeles.

Anthony Kappes, Darren Kenny, Jody Cundy, Barney Storey, Sarah Storey and Aileen McGlynn are among the 14 riders.

It is the final opportunity to gain 2012 Paralympics qualification points.

"Next time we meet our opponents will be on the boards of the London Velodrome in August," said performance manager Gareth Sheppard.

"LA is also the final opportunity for our track riders to measure their performance against the competition and we are looking forward to some exciting British performances."

Sarah Storey takes her place in the team having seen her hopes of becoming Britain's first Paralympic and Olympic athlete end when she was dropped from the women's team pursuit squad last month.
