Bradley Wiggins & Joanna Rowsell Shand win in Revolution Series

Sir Bradley Wiggins led the British Cycling team to victory in the team pursuit at the opening round of the Revolution Series in Derby on Friday.
The 2012 Tour de France winner joined with Owain Doull, Ed Clancy and Steven Burke to clock 3 mins 54.974 secs.
World champion Joanna Rowsell Shand edged out fellow Briton Ciara Horne to win the women's individual pursuit.
Scottish sprinter Callum Skinner beat world record holder Francois Pervis in the 1km time trial.
Wiggins has formed this team specifically to compete for qualification for the Rio Olympics and he will be encouraged that they were just three seconds off world-record pace.
British Cycling Olympic Academy athletes Germain Burton, Chris Latham, Matt Gibson and Ollie Wood demonstrated their promise in claiming second place in 4:01.055.
On an evening dominated by the Great Britain Cycling Team, Rowsell Shand completed the 12 laps of the individual pursuit in 3:37.320, just over two seconds quicker than Horne, with Laura Trott in third.
Sprinter Katy Marchant impressed in the 500m time trial to win in 34.117 seconds.
The riders are taking part with a view to earning Rio 2016 Olympic qualifying points.
Olympic and world champions including Mark Cavendish, Becky James and Jason Kenny will also race at the Derby Arena.
The three-day event, external continues with the omnium, sprint and men's individual pursuit on Saturday, and the keirin and Madison on Sunday.
After Derby, the series visits Manchester in October then London and Glasgow in November, before concluding with two more rounds in Manchester in January.
