Matthew Richardson won men's sprint gold at the UCI Track Nations Cup in Turkey, two days after helping Great Britain to team glory.

Kent-born Richardson, competing for GB having switched nationality from Australia last year, beat British team-mate Harry Ledingham-Horn in Sunday's final.

On Friday, Richardson, Ledingham-Horn and Harry Radford set a new British record on their way to gold in the men's team sprint.

Having been the fastest in qualifying, the British trio posted a record time of 41.788 seconds in the first round, before Ledingham-Horn reversed a narrow deficit against Japan in the gold-medal ride.

Britain's only other medal of the event came in the women's team sprint, with Lowri Thomas, Lauren Bell and Rhian Edmunds taking home silver medals.
