The Road World Championships culminate this weekend with the road races and Tom Pidcock and Anna Henderson will lead Great Britain's charge for the rainbow jerseys in Switzerland.

A total of 11 road and 53 para-road events are being held in Zurich between September 21-29, with most races being shown live on the BBC.

Great Britain's 55-strong squad have won 13 medals so far including golds for Sarah Storey, Cat Ferguson, Felix Barrow and Fran Brown.

Olympic mountain gold medallist Pidcock will be supported by Tour de Suisse champion Adam Yates, his twin brother Simon, Oscar Onley, Mark Donovan, James Knox and Jake Stewart.

The women's road race team will be led by Henderson, with the Paris silver-medallist supported by double-Olympic track medallist Elinor Barker, Lizzie Holden and Claire Steels.

Who are the favourites for the rainbow jersey?

Tour de France champion Tadej Pogacar is the favourite for the men's road race title, with the Slovenian targeting road cycling's triple crown.

Should Pogacar add the rainbow jersey to his Tour and Giro d'Italia wins he would become the first male rider to claim all three titles in the same year since Republic of Ireland's Stephen Roche in 1987.

Olympic road and time trial champion Remco Evenepoel added the world time trial title to his name in Zurich and will compete in the road race as well.

Belgium's Lotte Kopecky won the road race in Glasgow last year.

This year's elite road races feature tough, hilly courses from Uster to Zurich across 274km in the men's event and 154km in the women's.
