Ali Jawad and Micky Yule win European powerlifting golds

Ali Jawad was a bronze medal winner at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow

Two British para-athletes claimed gold medals at the IPC Powerlifting European Championships in Eger, Hungary.

Ali Jawad took top spot in the men's 65kg class, with the Lebanon-born Londoner, 26, also earning silver in the open competition.

The 2014 world champion at 59kg recently moved up to 65kg and achieved 193kg on his third lift to win gold.

Glasgow's Micky Yule set a new personal best of 193kg on his final effort to clinch gold in the 80kg weight class.
