Showjumper Scott Brash has won the Global Champions Tour series to claim the title for a second successive year.

The Scot, who rode Hello Sanctos, finished on the same points as Sweden's Rolf-Goran Bengtsson but took the title by having more wins over the season.

The world number one picked up just one penalty over two rounds to finish fourth in the final event in Doha.

"He is a once-in-a-lifetime horse, he has been fantastic." said Brash, 28. "It's a great feeling."

Brash has won three Grand Prix events while Bengtsson, who triumphed in Qatar, had two victories.

The 2012 Olympic team gold medallist started the final leg in third place but leader Ludger Beerbaum, from Germany, picked up 16 faults after his regular horse Chiara was unfit.
