Stevenage swoop for Histon keeper Joe Welch
- Published
Stevenage have brought in Histon goalkeeper Joe Welch on loan until the end of the season with a view to a permanent move.
The 22-year-old has played 36 times in the Blue Square Bet Premier this season, keeping eight clean sheets.
The former Southend youth player arrived at Bridge Road in 2008, and has made 50 appearances in total.
The move leaves George Lawton as Histon's only recognised goalkeeper, with David Knight on loan at York City.
