Ormerod will be looking to shoot the Seasiders back into the Premier League next season

Blackpool striker Brett Ormerod has signed a new one-year extension to his contract.

The 34-year-old, in his second spell with the Seasiders, is the only player to have scored in all four divisions for the club.

Last season he made 19 appearances in the Premier League, scoring once against Tottenham.

He first joined Blackpool in 1997, when they were in the second division, for £50,000 from Accrington.

Ormerod made 150 appearances for the Tangerines and scored 62 goals in all competitions.

He returned to Bloomfield Road in the 2008/2009 transfer window and played a key role in their promotion to the top flight, scoring the decisive goal in the play-off final against Cardiff at Wembley.

Ormerod's signing will be a boost for the Seasiders, who aim to bounce back after being relegated from the Premier League this season.
