Devera had spent his whole career at Barnet
Swindon Town boss Paolo di Canio has made Barnet defender Joe Devera his first signing.
The 24-year-old will officially join on 1 July on a free transfer after turning down a new deal with the Bees to sign a two-year contract with the Robins.
Devera came through the Barnet youth team and made 201 appearances for the League Two club.
He told the Swindon website: "It's been a long wait but I am delighted to have got everything sorted."
He added: "It was time I moved on from Barnet and I've been aware of Swindon for quite a while. I have played here at the County Ground for Barnet and it's a great set-up.
"Last season was a busy one with what happened at Barnet, but I'm delighted to be a Swindon player and I cannot wait for the season to start."
