Harrogate boss Weaver pleased with pre-season training

Harrogate Town manager Simon Weaver says he is impressed with his squad after they returned for their first pre-season session.
Weaver is hoping to lead his players to an improvement on last year's mid-table finish in Blue Square Bet North.
He told BBC Radio York: "They looked very lean and fit. We've got a big physical squad of players now.
"Even the trialists walked in and made a good impression. First impressions are very important in pre-season."
Weaver continued: "You get to judge how much people are up for it and if they've kept themselves fit throughout the summer.
"So they made a really good impression in the first session. We've got two more this week before we play Tadcaster Albion away on Saturday and we'll look to get some minutes under the belts of everyone.
"We really want to get the cobwebs out of the system and get some sharpness into them.
"You can never replicate a game so it's not about the end result in the first game of pre-season. It's about getting some minutes and also getting towards match sharpness.
"The majority will have 45 or 50 minutes - it's a good opportunity for lads trying to make an impression and get into out squad of players for the coming season. "
