Republic of Ireland defender Alan Maybury has agreed to stay with St Johnstone.

The 32-year-old's 12-month deal will be finalised when the team return from pre-season training in Ireland.

Maybury joined the club from Colchester United on a free-transfer in August 2010.

The former internationalist, who has also spent time with Hearts and Aberdeen, made 23 SPL appearances for Derek McInnes's side last season.
