Defender Romain Vincelot has joined Brighton & Hove Albion from Dagenham & Redbridge on a two-year deal.
The right-back, 25, played for French clubs Chamois Niortais and Gueugnon before joining the Daggers in January 2010.
Seagulls boss Gus Poyet told the club website: "We need players who can play in different positions and Romain provides that.
"It's a challenge for him and this brings extra competition to the squad."
