Milton Keynes Dons have signed Irish free agents Jay O'Shea and Ian McLoughlin after successful trials.

Winger O'Shea, 22, left Birmingham this summer and joins the Dons on a one-year deal, with the option for a second.

Keeper McLoughlin, 19, was released by Ipswich after failing to make an appearance for the club.

Dons boss Karl Robinson told the club website: , external"Jay will bring flair and unpredictability. Ian could push David Martin for the number one shirt."

Both players featured in League Two last season, O'Shea having loan spells at Stevenage and Port Vale, while McLoughlin played on loan for Stockport.
