Tranmere Rovers have signed former Shrewsbury Town defender David Raven on a one-year deal.
Raven, 26, previously played for Tranmere in 2006, making 11 appearances while on loan from Liverpool.
The Wirral-born defender has been training with Rovers this summer, having been released by League Two Shrewsbury at the end of last season.
Raven, who can play across the back four, played for Tranmere's academy before joining Liverpool in 2004.
A regular reserve team captain at Anfield, he left Liverpool for Carlisle in 2006 after just one first-team appearance, and joined Shrewsbury at the start of the 2010/11 season.
