Harrogate Town fought back from 2-0 down only to lose to an injury time winner at Stalybridge Celtic.

Paul Brayson and Callum Hassan put Town back in the game but Connor Jennings clinched the points for the home side.

Manager Simon Weaver told BBC Radio York, external: "We fought our way back into the game so well.

"It was a sickener conceding in the last minute but I'm proud of the way the lads responded to a rollicking at half time."

Weaver added: "First half we were shocking. They were running through us through midfield in central areas and we weren't really at the races.

"They looked sharper and fitter. Second half, we changed the tactics round and I thought the lads that came on did really well.

"The positive thing is that we seemed to really click in the second half and we destroyed them for football."

Weaver gave a debut to new signing, winger Peter Bore.

Bore, 23, was released by Grimsby Town in the summer having made 150 appearances and scoring 15 goals in five seasons.

He also spent a month's loan period at York City during the 2008-2009 campaign making four appearances.
