Hodges guided Truro to promotion last season

Truro City manager Lee Hodges has heaped praise on his players after their start to the new Blue Square Bet South campaign.

Having been promoted last term, Truro have taken to their new league with aplomb, winning both opening games.

"I'm so proud of them," Hodges said. "We're only a few days in and I couldn't have asked for a better start.

"I love working with the squad and when we train there's that togetherness and you can tell that when we play."

After beating Chelmsford City 1-0 away from home on the opening day, the White Tigers opened up their account at Treyew Road with a 2-1 win against Eastleigh on Tuesday.

Hodges said: "It was a hard, tough battle, exactly the same as Saturday's game.

"It was a very even kind of contest, ebb and flow, but everyone played a major part in it and six points from two games is a brilliant start."
