Guernsey continued their unbeaten start to their Combined Counties League campaign after a 2-1 win at Eversley.

Top-scorer Ross Allen scored the winner 10 minutes from full time after Matt Loaring had given the Green Lions the lead early on.

"The guys are very pleased with the performance," manager Tony Vance told BBC Guernsey.

"They're all enjoying the moment but know that there's a tough season ahead," he added.

And Vance said that his squad, which showed a number of changes from the team that beat Warlingham last week, have made it harder for him to pick a side.

"I think it sends out a message to those guys that didn't travel that there are people here who can do a job as well," he said.
