Milton Keynes Dons sign Brentford's Charlie MacDonald

MacDonald was Brentford's top goalscorer in his first two seasons with the club

Milton Keynes Dons have signed striker Charlie MacDonald from Brentford for an undisclosed fee.

The 30-year-old, who scored 45 goals in his 127 matches at Brentford, has agreed a two-year-deal at Stadium MK.

MacDonald helped his former employers to the League Two title in 2008/09, finishing that season as the club's top goalscorer with 18 goals.

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson said: "I'm really excited to have Charlie at the club, he is a natural born goalscorer."

MacDonald added: "Having spoken to the gaffer and seeing the club and them being top of the league, it was a no-brainer for me to make the decision to come over to MK Dons."
