Worcester City slipped to their first home league defeat of the season when Corby Town left St George's Lane with a deserved victory.

Second-half goals from Phil Gulliver (63) and Nick Rogan (72) secured the points for the Steelmen.

City squandered the chance for a late consolation goal when Chris Mackenzie saved Danny Carey-Bertam's penalty.

Earlier Worcester goalkeeper Jimmy Dormand had kept his side in the game with a number of outstanding saves.

Worcester manager Carl Heeley told BBC Hereford & Worcester:

Worcester boss Heeley has no complaints

"We've missed a penalty, Tom Thorley has had a good chance and also I felt Michael Taylor had a good chance when he volleyed over.

"But that said you can see Corby are a free-scoring side and Jimmy was our best player today.

"So there are no complaints as on the balance of the game as we probably didn't deserve anything."
